Sunday, February 2, 2003 :Twelve-year-old Julian Clef has set a record by playing pieces by a 100 great composers for 12 continuous hours. Unlike most other 12-year-olds, to whom Beethoven and Bach may not be the first thing they listen to, Julian does complete justice to compositions by these maestros.

"There are many children who can play the piano very well in Kerala. But no one has created a record," said Willy Pulimugath, his father. But the notes turned sour when Julian had to part with his piano -- the person who he had purchased it from took it back. Not to be defeated, he switched to playing the organ. Since then Julian has performed at several concerts and won numerous accolades."My wish is world peace. When a small child does this everyone will naturally take notice of it," said Julian.
An ambitious dream - but Julian hopes that his music will strike the right note.
