Mangalore, February 4: State government has decided to run 8 Volvo buses of KSRTC between Mangalore and Manipal. As new buses are not available it’s being delayed, said district in-charge minister J Krishna Palemar.

Court stay on running new buses has been cleared now. It has been come to his notice that since a year transport authority meet was not held and action will be taken immediately to call meeting, he said.

Under ‘Akrama Sakrama Yojana’ it has been planned to give full concession to those who have 2.5 cents land. 50% penalty will be levied to those who have 2.5 to 5 cents land and 75% to those who have 5 to 10 cents, he said.
