Mangalore, February 5, 2010 : National judicial commission should be constituted immediately to preserve judicial accountability and sacredness of the system, said legislative council member M C Nanayya.
He was speaking on ‘Judicial accountability and public administration’ in the commemorative program held as part of 2nd death anniversary of former law minister Late Blasius M D’Souza jointly organized by labourers parishath and SDM PG Center for Management Studies and Research.
Judicial accountability is a must to preserve the dignity, sacredness and faith of people in judiciary. Hence, central government should amend the constitution. And this commission’s responsibilities should include recruitment of judges, taking action against any corruption in system etc, he said.
