"Awareness of new weekly Kutam can be seen all over Mumbai and even in Mangalore. Kutam is doing very well here in Mira Road among all Konkani weeklies. It has the vast potentials to reach out to the mass numbers. Kutam has won the hearts of Konkani people within a span of two years. Its growth is amazing. Though it stands second after Raknno Weekly in circulation it shows all signs to become No. 1 weekly in one day" said Rev. Dr. Rudolf V. D'Souza, parish priest of St. Joseph's church Mira Road and the honorary editor of Mira Road Kutam Special issue to be released within two months. He was speaking during the Kutam Weekly get-together organised to gather support to the new issue to be released on be half of the parish on 1st July 2005 in Mira Road.

Kutam Editor Henry D'Paula said, "Ours is a complete weekly for the family. Unity through love is our motto. We need to unite at our family level, parish level and at national level with one mind and one spirit spreading the word of love. Konkani spirit is alive in Mira Road. We see children speaking in Konkani over here. As Kutam has more than 500 subscribers in Mira Road Parish we thought of bringing out the special issue on this parish." He also thanked the Fr. Rudolf and Mr. Joy Paladka for taking this responsibility.

Mr. Joy Paladka gave a welcome address and said "Mira Road is a potential parish. Our people always support for the good cause. Hence we are very much confidence to bring out a very think volume of Mira Road special issue."

Fr. Rudolf inaugurated the pamphlets of the special issue. Maxim Mathias of Little king group, Gilbert Baptist of Malaika group, Businessman Calisth Cardoza, Maurice Pinto, David D' Silva, Sebestian D' Souza were also present.

John Crasta, president of Konkani Catholic Association gave vote of thanks. Ancy Paladka compered the programme.
