A Twinkling Star in Konkani Sky, a Bloomed Konkani Jasmine, Chieftain of Novels in serials, Konkani Sahitya Samrat, Century Writer, Kadambari Samrat, Sankal Kaniancho Raai, Konknenthlo Hero are a few noted and apt titles rightly bagged by Victor Rodrigues for his meritorious service to his mother-tongue as a literary jargon, prolific writer, playwright and critic. His titles speak better than his stature and his works narrate better than his words. A man who is mostly seen in papers and vastly read in books and magazines, be it dramas, short stories, long novels, poetry or articles.
 
Born on February 08, 1944 to a devout couple, Mr Antony John Rogrigues and Mrs Carmine at Angelore. Victor had the basic education in local school. His innate charism for writing and passionate love for Konkani flowered and fructified in the early childhood days. Who knew that this babe would be so great in Konkani literary field one day?



By formal education he was an infant; by profession a painter, sign scripter and artist; and by vocation a prolific Konkani writer, playwright and novelist. His caliber has carved a permanent niche for him. Victor lives happily with his wife Celine at Santhosh grah, Kandettu, Bikarnakatte, Mangalore. They are blessed with three children Lolita, Veena and Santosh. All of them are in Dubai. Victor had served 12 years at Fr. Muller’s Hospital Mangalore and spent 22 years in Bahrain.
 
Victor rose to the heights of Konkani sky, sheerly due to his hard efforts, unceasing concentration and critical thinking. His popular story Paap Ani Shirap is being telecasted in DD Chandana under the little Kaani Oxi Mogachi. Of late, Victor has undergone a major surgery from which he is recouping. His numerous literary works are systematically listed below for the benefit of the viewers.
